Pauline Sokol, former nurse turned insurance fraud investigator, has just learned her next assignment is working undercover at TLC, an air ambulance company, to find out about the shady money dealings going on. When she learns the job calls for her to actually fly in a helicopter, she does some fast talking to get herself out of it. However, her boss has other plans and Pauline finds herself flying around with one gorgeous man specimen, Dano, the senior paramedic for TLC.

They definitely add to the storyline. The ongoing unpredictable relationship between Pauline and Jagger adds just the right amount of tension and keeps the reader hungry for more between the two.
